Last month, Ronaldo was charged with violating FA E3 rule regarding violent action conduct following United’s defeat at Goodison Park in April.

Ten Hag confirmed that Wednesday: “We have talked about it. He won’t accept it. After the investigation, Cristiano was found guilty of the charge. It can be a fine, warning, or ban. Now, Ronaldo accept the FA charge and decided to make a public apology on social media posts:

“It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing,” the former Real Madrid and Juventus player said on Instagram after the match.

“Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, and patient and set an example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game.

“I would like to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair play and sportsmanship.”
